    From the Family Violence Prevention Fund. Includes information on prevalence of violence, health issues, rape and stalking, as well as links to fact sheets on related topics.
  • Domestic Violence and Abuse: Types, Signs, Symptoms, Causes, and Effects
    This help guide includes information on physical, emotional, sexual, financial, and spiritual abuse, cause and effect, and web resources. The site is a non-profit project of the Rotary Club of Santa Monica and Center for Healthy Aging.
  • Intimate Partner Violence Fact Sheet
    From the Centers for Disease Control (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services). Information on intimate partner violence against men and women. Includes statistics, physical, psychological, health, social and economic consequences of abuse, and risk factors for both victimization and perpetration.
  • Children’s Bureau
    A division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Children’s Bureau site includes Frequently Asked Questions fact sheets, statistics, initiatives and research on child welfare, abuse, adoption and foster care, and other related topics.
  • Crimes Against Children Research Center
    The CCRC provides research and statistics about the nature of crimes including child abduction, homicide, rape, assault, and physical and sexual abuse as well as their impact.
  • MaleSurvivor
    This organization provides resources and support for men who were sexually victimized as children, adolescents, or adults. The site includes information on resources, victimization and community safety.

Philosophy and Religion Collection
Covers such topics as epistemology, political philosophy, philosophy of language, moral philosophy and the history of philosophy, world religions, biblical studies, religious history. Includes more than 300 full text journals.
Encyclopedia Americana
Includes 45,000 articles, plus thousands of hypertext links to web sites featuring additional data. It is updated quarterly.
Encyclopedia, Funk and Wagnalls New World
Provides over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas.
