Cornell University site offering an "on-line bibliography in the area of emotions and emotional intelligence, describing current research findings and notes of interest. The main areas covered are: emotional intelligence, emotions, and methods for researching emotions."
"The mission of the Consortium is to aid the advancement of research and practice related to emotional intelligence [EI] in organizations." EI topics encompass "self-awareness, optimism, and empathy" in the workplace. Features a history of EI, reports, and information about EI model programs and methods for measuring EI. Includes a bibliography and annotated links.
Features an exhibition on emotions and disease, offering sections on "the balance of passions", "psychosomatic medicine", "stress and deprivation", and others.
This is an entry from the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy (SEP). All entries in this online encyclopedia are maintained and updated by an expert or group of experts in the field. This “dynamic reference work maintains academic standards while evolving and adapting in response to new research.”
The Lab of Affective Neuroscience “is engaged in a broad program of research on the brain mechanisms that underlie emotion and emotion regulation in normal individuals throughout the life course, and in individuals with various psychiatric disorders.” The site includes links to publications and recent news.
This website features reports on advances in the research on emotions and disease: "A decade or so ago, many researchers believed emotions, the feelings usually associated more with the heart than the head, couldn't be measured or studied in laboratory experiments. Researchers lacked instruments, and what's more, most scientists didn't recognize the far-ranging and long-lasting effects emotions can have on peoples' health. More recently, though, hard scientific scrutiny of emotions has dramatically come into its own...." Last updated 2001.

Academic Search Premier and MasterFile Premier provide full text for over 6200 periodicals including full text for more than 3,500 peer-reviewed journals. Coverage spans virtually every area of academic study and offers information dating as far back as 1975.
Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection
Provides coverage of nearly 550 full text journals, covering topics such as emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry & psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational and experimental methods.
Philosophy and Religion Collection
Covers such topics as epistemology, political philosophy, philosophy of language, moral philosophy and the history of philosophy, world religions, biblical studies, religious history. Includes more than 300 full text journals.
Science Full Text Select
Coverage includes popular science magazines as well as professional journals. Also covers The New York Times Science Section. Full text coverage begins in January 1995.
Nursing Resources
Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition provides more than 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines and also features abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 journals. Clinical Pharmacology provides access to information for prescription drugs, herbal and nutritional supplements, over-the-counter products and new and investigational drugs. CINAHL provides indexing for over 500 journals in nursing and other allied health disciplines.
